Magma Maths Joins BESA, the British Educational Suppliers Association

LONDON, September. Magma Maths, the K-12 maths platform working with schools across the UK, has joined the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), the trade body representing the UK's education suppliers.

The association requires members to sign up to a Code of Practice covering how suppliers deal with schools, including complaints handling, and it represents the sector's interests with government and policymakers. BESA has supported UK schools and suppliers for almost a century.

For the multi-academy trusts, local authorities and school leaders evaluating Magma as a maths platform, membership gives them a standard to check the company against that doesn't come from Magma Maths itself.

“BESA’s Code of Practice gives multi-academy trusts and local authorities something to hold us to that isn’t just our own word. It’s a commitment we’re glad to make, and it reflects how seriously we take being in UK schools for the long term.”, says Alex Page, Managing Director of Magma Maths UK.

Magma Maths' BESA membership is effective immediately, and its listing can be viewed on BESA's supplier directory at besa.org.uk/supplier/radish-education-uk-ltd.

‍About Magma Maths

Magma Maths is an online maths platform for schools from Reception through GCSE, helping pupils show their mathematical thinking and giving teachers real-time visibility into how pupils are reasoning, not just whether their answers are right. Aligned to the national curriculum, the platform offers a library of thousands of problems across multiple difficulty levels, supports formative assessment and exit tickets, and enables personalised practice pathways. Magma Maths is operated by Radish Education UK Ltd and is part of the wider Magma group, which also operates in the US, Sweden and Germany.

About BESA

‍BESA (the British Educational Suppliers Association) is the voice of UK education suppliers. For almost a century it has represented, championed and developed the UK education suppliers' sector, helping and advising suppliers of every size, from start-ups to multinational groups. BESA's members make up over 80% of total UK education supplier market spend, giving the association a clear mandate with policymakers.
