Radish Education UK Ltd (Magma Maths) uses the following sub-processors to provide the Magma Maths platform to schools in the United Kingdom. Each one is bound by a written data processing agreement and may use personal data only to provide its service to us.
Sub-processors
- Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL
Service: cloud hosting, databases, encrypted storage and backups
Personal data: all platform data, encrypted
Location: EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Covered by the UK adequacy regulations for the EEA. - Google (Gemini)
Service: AI feedback on pupils’ mathematical work
Personal data: the pupil’s answer and working, photos of written work and voice recordings if the pupil adds them, and information about the question. We do not send names, email addresses or account identifiers, but a pupil’s own text, photos or recordings may contain personal details. Google does not keep the data or use it to train models.
Location: EU, in the same region as our hosting. Covered by the UK adequacy regulations for the EEA. - Wonde Ltd (optional)
Service: class list sync from the school’s MIS, where the school uses it
Personal data: pupil and staff names, class membership and school identifiers
Location: United Kingdom. No international transfer. - Intercom, Inc. (optional)
Service: support chat for school staff
Personal data: name and work email address of staff who contact support, and the conversation. Pupils cannot use the chat.
Location: United States, under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Sign-in providers. Where a school uses single sign-on, pupils and staff sign in through the school’s own Google, Microsoft, MyLogin or Skolon account. These providers receive only what is needed to sign the user in.
Changes. We give schools at least 30 days’ notice before adding or replacing a sub-processor, as set out in our Data Processing Agreement.
