London, June 12 2026. Magma Maths, the award-winning digital maths platform for UK schools and multi-academy trusts, has been named Company of the Year at the MAT Excellence Awards 2026. The awards, hosted by Optimus Education, recognise outstanding achievement across the multi-academy trust sector and are judged by an independent panel of senior education leaders.

The judges described Magma Maths as “a ‘terrific’ platform with innovative use of technology. The scalability and impressive quantifiable outcomes highlighted the incredible year that they have had. Their strong evidence showed significant gains in achievement with major reductions in workload. Magma demonstrated how they support inclusive, high-quality maths pedagogy at scale, empowering trusts to deliver consistent, confident, and equitable maths education.”

A growing track record of sector recognition

The MAT Excellence Award adds to a remarkable run of recognition for Magma Maths in 2026. Earlier this year, the platform celebrated a triple win at BETT, and in June was named Breakthrough Education Company of the Year at the nEdEx School & Trust Leadership Awards.

Since launching in the UK in August 2024, Magma Maths has grown rapidly through close partnerships with multi-academy trusts, building a platform shaped directly by the needs of teachers and school leaders. The Company of the Year win reflects that collaborative approach: the Trust Collaboration Award category at the same ceremony also recognised the partnership between Magma Maths and Woodland Academy Trust, whose joint work on embedding the platform trust-wide has helped build staff confidence, support diverse learners, and strengthen maths teaching and learning across the trust's schools.
